This website is a-sort-of blog until we are formally up and running so that we
can keep everyone informed as to our Club's progress.

We had our first outing as an archery club today ( 08/06/08), we were
invited to a roving mark shoot at Shepshed in Leicestershire.
We arrived at 10 am to enjoy a wonderful day's shooting, we
must have covered some 3 or 4 miles in the scorching heat. Many
archers retired in the early afternoon to cool off and have a drink
of water thoughtfully provided by our hosts, the Black Arrow FAC.
Sherwood Archers in attendance were; Mick Sheldon, Rob Woolhouse,
Simon and Michelle Hayes, Aaron, Antony and Peter Burgess.
Rob, Aaron and Antony scored on a few of the marks and Mick shot
a hearty 176 yards with a replica war arrow from a 55lb bow.

Fingers crossed our new Club will be shooting in it's own grounds
from the 1st september 2008. We have arranged for 24/7 shooting.
