Sunday 17th January turned out to be a lovely and sunny day. As I drove up the Motorway I could see the blue skies over Barlborough, I thought what a perfect day for Roving Marks around the archery fields (it would also give the grass on the target field more time to dry out !).

Ed was waiting for me when I arrived at 11.15 am, a quick chat and he reckoned the Roving Marks would be brill fun. Jon, Yvonne their daughter and their son-in-law to be, Adam arrived to shoot too. Brian joined us a little later and walked around with us keeping us company. We all wish you a speedy recovery with your poorly shoulder Brian.

At 11.30 we set off by shooting a white fletched war arrow around 50 yards away and a tricky short shot over a tree. The nearest arrow to the target arrow was the winner and the archer shot the war arrow to make the next Mark. In this manner we zig-zagged around the grounds covering 30 acres or so, the time just disappeared and we all won at least one Mark before we packed up at 1.30, a lovely morning chatting with friends and enjoying very chilled out archery.
