Our local hostelry, the Rose and Crown, is an arrow shot away from our Club grounds, about 200 yards. The Restaurant serves high quality home cooked food which is most welcome after a day's shooting or even at lunchtime if you shoot in the afternoon. The service is personal and friendly, the food is very tasty, well prepared and nicely presented. With real ale available too, what more could a budding Robin Hood or Maid Marion desire?
Meals are served 12-2.30 lunchtime and 6.30 to 8.45 in the evenings.

Liver and onion with a glass of dry white wine, 10 seconds later and a side dish of vegetables that wouldn't fit on the plate arrived! The portions are not for the faint hearted.
